Job description

Amazon's North American External Fulfilment (NA EF) Finance team is looking for a Senior Financial Analyst to join the team, supporting operational and functional leaders in SDC, IXD, TSSL, TNS, AWD, and AXD within Amazon's EF Network. The EF Financial Analyst will provide analytical support to optimize our dynamic and rapidly growing network. The person will play a key role in driving business performance through financial metrics, reporting, forecasting & planning, data automation and analysis, and business insight

We are looking for a self-starter with strong data collection and modeling capabilities, a keen attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple projects effectively. This role has regular interaction with various stakeholders across Finance, Operations, and Supply Chain, providing reporting and business support for decision making that have an impact at a big scale.
This role will require some technical expertise with SQL, Advanced Excel, and Quicksight/Power BI to support the creation and design of reporting in all NA EF networks.
Key job responsibilities
- Use solid financial knowledge and business acumen to build models and analyses in collaboration with Finance and Operations partners. Draw conclusions and make recommendations that deliver results and drive improvements
- Proactively identify opportunities to resolve finance defects and improve, automate, standardize or simplify finance or business tools and processes across teams and organizations
- Provide analysis and recommendations to business leaders to support operational and growth business decisions and action plans
- Deliver operations planning and cost planning for the network
- Collaborate with operations personnel to drive process, productivity improvements, and cost savings initiatives
- Ensure excellent financial controllership and manage the Weekly, Monthly and Quarterly results reporting
- Facilitate financial review meetings with key partner business groups
- Identify and solve complex data integrity issues and collaborate with stakeholders on resolution, insisting on the highest standards
- Develop and execute data analysis processes that are scalable and auditable
- Intuitively utilize active listening skills to communicate data (both written and verbal) in a clear, concise, and unambiguous manner, adjusting your style based on audience, to articulate complex finance issues
