Job Posting TitleFinancial AnalystJob Description SummaryThe Financial Analyst will report to Dauch's Senior Manager of Financial Reporting, with responsibilities supporting the Finance organization's technical accounting and SEC reporting activities. This role will also be responsible for maintaining records of organization's financial activity in accordance with GAAP, organizational standards, and in compliance with Section 404 of the Sarbanes-Oxley Act, while assisting senior accounting and finance staff with projects and activities.Job Description:Perform technical accounting research and assist in the preparation of accounting memorandums.Assist with the analysis and implementation of new accounting standards, including the development and implementation of new internal controls.Participate in the preparation of the financial statements and footnotes for quarterly and annual filings with the SEC.Assist with completion of Sarbanes-Oxley – Section 404 testing.Analyze and tie-out reports from third-party service providers (pension/OBEP, goodwill impairment, etc.).Interface and work collaboratively with other Corporate Finance functions.Participate in projects/activities to improve the quality and timeliness of financial processes.Produce and analyze accounting information and other reports for management decision-making.Provide support to internal and external auditors during quarterly reviews and year-end audits.Participate in the preparation and tie-out of the annual sustainability report and other environmental, social and governance (ESG) reporting.Perform other duties as assigned.Required Skills and EducationCompleted bachelor's degree in accounting2+ years of experience in accounting/financial reportingStrong knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and financial statementsExperience working in public accounting and/or with a global public company preferredCertified Public Accountant (CPA) preferredExperience applying GAAP in a manufacturing environment preferredWorking knowledge of Oracle ERP, Hyperion Financial Management (HFM) preferredAbout Dauch:Dauch Corporation is a premier Driveline and Metal Forming supplier serving the global automotive industry with a powertrain-agnostic product portfolio that supports electric, hybrid, and internal combustion vehicles.
