Join the MEPPI Team!
Mitsubishi Electric Power Products, Inc. (MEPPI) is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to be based in our Warrendale, PA facility.
What You'll Do:
  • Provide accounting guidance, analysis, and direction regarding divisional strategy, initiatives, and operations to Division leadership. Serve as the primary point of contact between manufacturing-based Divisions and Accounting.
  • Monitor, analyze and prepare financial reporting of monthly results and key performance indicators. Identify and report on variances and trends.
  • Process financial transactions and journal entries supporting monthly financial closings.
  • Assure compliance with GAAP and MEPPI policies and procedures related to project invoicing, foreign currency exchange, revenue and cost forecasting and recognition.
  • Plan and lead the execution of the division's annual physical inventory counts.
  • Monitor inventory levels, perform inventory analysis, and recommend methods to improve inventory accounting.
  • Monitor ongoing accounting processes to ensure the accuracy of product cost information and cost control in both manufacturing and G&A budget areas.
  • Provide financial data to support annual business planning.
  • Advise, counsel and train analysts and finance personnel on appropriate methods for capturing data related to business transactions and entering information into the business system.
  • Further the goals and positive, professional image of the Division through effective interaction with customers, vendors and internal departments.

What You'll Bring:
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance with 5-8 years of relevant accounting experience, or equivalent education and experience.
  • Advanced knowledge of accounting methods, principles and practices including cost accounting, financial analysis and US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Advanced interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills required to communicate with employees.
  • Ability to communicate complex financial information in a manner that can be understood by non-financial partners.
  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills.
