Job description

Adecco is assisting a mission-driven nonprofit organization in the search for a skilled Financial Analyst to support financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting initiatives. This role will play a critical part in helping leadership make informed financial decisions, optimize funding resources, and support organizational growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare, analyze, and distribute monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports and performance metrics.
  • Support annual budgeting, financial planning, and forecasting processes across departments and programs.
  • Monitor departmental, program, and grant budgets to ensure effective resource allocation and compliance.
  • Perform budget-to-actual variance analysis and provide actionable recommendations to leadership.
  • Identify financial trends, risks, opportunities, and operational efficiencies.
  • Develop financial models, forecasting tools, dashboards, and management reporting packages.
  • Partner with department leaders, program managers, and executive leadership to evaluate financial performance.
  • Assist with grant financial reporting, funding allocations, and restricted fund management.
  • Track grant expenditures and help ensure compliance with donor requirements and funding guidelines.
  • Support month-end and year-end close activities and financial statement preparation.
  • Assist with audit preparation, regulatory reporting, and compliance activities.
  • Present financial analyses and recommendations to leadership and key stakeholders.
  • Recommend improvements to budgeting processes, financial reporting, internal controls, and system efficiencies.
  • Support strategic planning initiatives through financial modeling and data-driven decision-making.

QualificationsRequired Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, accounting, or financial planning.
  • Strong understanding of financial reporting, variance analysis, budgeting, and forecasting methodologies.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including:
    • Pivot Tables
    • VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP
    • Financial Modeling
    • Data Analysis
    • Reporting Dashboards
  • Experience utilizing financial systems, ERP platforms, accounting software, or business intelligence tools.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to communicate complex financial information to non-financial audiences.
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience within a nonprofit, healthcare, higher education, government-funded, or mission-driven organization.
  • Knowledge of nonprofit accounting principles and fund accounting.
  • Experience managing grant budgets, restricted funding, and donor compliance requirements.
  • Experience with ERP systems such as NetSuite, Sage Intacct, Oracle, Workday, Microsoft Dynamics, Blackbaud, or similar platforms.
  • Certified Management Accountant (CMA), Certified Government Financial Manager (CGFM), or related certification preferred.

Pay Details: $80,000.00 to $100,000.00 per hour
