Your Opportunity, Your Team

  • At Frontgate, we are looking for a strategic, analytical Merchandise Planner to help guide category performance through disciplined sales, inventory, and margin planning reporting to the Director of Planning. You will partner with Merchandising and cross-functional teams to turn assortment strategies into actionable plans that support growth, profitability, and an elevated customer experience.

Where You'll Work

  • This role is hybrid with occasional on-site requirements. Employees should be available to attend in-person meetings, training sessions or other business critical activities as needed at the West Chester, OH Corporate Office. Job seekers must reside in one of the following states to be considered: Ohio, Kentucky or Indiana. Relocation assistance is not available for this role.

What You'll Do

  • Develop sales, inventory, and margin plans that support category financial goals and customer needs.
  • Build forecasts, manage buys, and maintain healthy inventory levels to balance service, demand, and productivity.
  • Lead open-to-buy planning and help optimize inventory investment across the category.
  • Monitor performance, identify trends, and recommend actions to improve sales, margin, and inventory efficiency.
  • Partner with Merchandising, Sourcing, Digital, Creative, Supply Chain, and vendor partners to execute category plans.
  • Support assortment planning by using historical trends, forecasts, pricing insights, and performance data to guide decisions.
  • Drive in-season reforecasting, markdown planning, and inventory actions to respond to changing business needs.
  • Maintain operational execution through vendor communication, item data accuracy, and support for important business processes.

What You'll Bring

  • 3+ years of experience in retail planning, forecasting, inventory management, financial planning, or financial analysis.
  • We prefer experience in direct-to-consumer retail and upscale assortments, including furniture.
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, merchandising, economics, business, statistics, or a related field
  • Strong technical proficiency in Microsoft Excel and related planning, finance, or analytical systems.
  • Experience working with data management and planning systems.
