Job description


Our finance/PE client is currently accepting resumes for the position of Analyst, Treasury and Deal Operations in Los Angeles to join their growing team of operations professionals focused on supporting our asset management business. The position is primarily responsible for treasury and operations management with an emphasis on deal closing, position/cash reconciliation, and break resolution for investments held by thr firms funds. A successful candidate will not only execute operational workflows but also actively analyze data integrity, automate repetitive processes, and contribute to scaling the companies operational infrastructure.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Assist on day to day reconciliation of positions and outstanding cash with fund administrators; conduct root-cause analysis on reconciliation breaks and assist in building detection logic to reduce recurrence.
  • Manage document retention for the audit process including the collection and organization of audit documents; participate in internal control reviews, contributing analytical frameworks for identifying process gaps and systemic risks.
  • Engage actively in process improvement projects by first learning manual workflows thoroughly enough to question them, then iterating toward more efficient, scalable solutions.
  • Assist in developing reporting tools and dashboards to surface operational KPIs and flag data anomalies.
  • Initiate outgoing wires for deal fundings and settlements, confirming that payment instructions tie to executed documentation and verified standing settlement instructions before submission.
  • Assist with cash rebalancing, near-term cash projections, and liquidity analytics across fund portfolios.
  • Learn and execute the day-to-day loan servicing workflows, including but not limited to: interest accruals, rate resets, draws, paydowns, fees, and payment in-kind.

Qualifications

·        Bachelor’s degree required, with a preferred concentration in quantitative discipline such as mathematics, statistics, or computer science.

·        1 to 2 years of hands-on experience preferred

·        Excellent analytical skills with strong working knowledge of Excel; familiarity with Python, SQL, or data scripting tools for automation and workflow enhancement is a plus.

·        Understanding of private debt and middle market loans a plus.

·        Strong attention to detail and highly organized with the proven ability to meet tight deadlines.

·        Ability to prioritize competing priorities with minimal supervision in a cross-functional team environment.

·        Strong written and communication skills.
