Job Title: Management Analyst
Series and Grade: 0343, NH-02
Number of Vacancies: 1 or more
Location: Pascagoula, MS
Duties:
Serves as the advisor on Comptroller administrative, technical and clerical support functions. including, but not limited to, records management and finance training coordinator, general office management, office scheduling, alternate timekeeper, and/or budget reporting. Also participates in Command wide initiatives, i.e., work groups, meetings, etc. Incumbent is responsible for tracking personnel, supply, procurement, and other administrative transactions as the communications and documentation flow through the Comptroller Department.
Administration. Employee uses significant judgment and interpretation to apply the guides to specific cases and adapt or improvise procedures to accommodate unusual or one-of-a-kind situations. Independently gathers data, prepares reports, and makes recommendations consistent with normal practice, using experience in solving problems and handling unusual occurrences. Advises on administrative matters. Confers with coworkers on matters requiring judicious, confidential consideration and handling, and pursues such matters to conclusion. Keeps informed of issues concerning Command operations, changes and revisions in regulations, procedures, and policies affecting administrative functions. Collaborates in the development and monitoring of methods of measurement that provide valid assessments of program success; analyzes and makes recommendations to resolve problems and issues. Ensures that all personnel are kept informed. Responsible for variations from prescribed regulations and procedures in the solution of problems encountered involving office administrative matters. Attends meetings via teleconference and in-person as necessary. Maintains filing system and office calendar of meetings, vacations, inspections, and events; checks E-Mail; opens and distributes mail. Maintains personal files in accordance with governing regulatory procedures. Maintains the departmental calendar, schedules, appointments, and conferences on own initiative based on personal knowledge of workload and current issues of importance. Arranges for conferences, including location, schedule, agenda, and attendance list. Maintains suspense records on correspondence and action documents, following up on work in progress to insure timely response or action. Performs property accountability activities, and physical property, including documenting receipts, applying barcodes, effecting transfers, adjustments, disposals, and/or preparing reports of survey of non-expendable property, and periodic property inventory. Utilizes standard operating practices or modified administrative work procedures for delivering effective services. Reviews request for personnel actions to ensure all information is accurate. Creates, submits and maintains departmental hiring actions.
