This position is based in Richmond, Indiana, a global and strategic Pet Food manufacturing site. Work visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
The Financial Analyst is responsible for providing value added reporting and analysis to achieve budget goals and supporting continuous improvement activities relating to Finance.  This position focuses on Accounts Payable, Material Variances, Inventory and Fixed Assets. 
What you'll do
Financial Closing & Reporting: Lead month-end closing activities, including the preparation of precise journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and the monthly Plant Performance Report for controller review.
Variance Analysis & Forecasting: Partner with budget owners and Plant Controllers to analyze expense variances, develop accurate accruals, and actively drive the annual operating budget, standard costing, and quarterly Latest Estimate (LE) forecasts.
Operations & Spend Management: Optimize SAP purchase order (PO) workflows, monitor open commitments, ensure timely goods receipts, and collaborate with engineering to financially close capital projects and track vendor spending.
Internal Controls & Asset Protection: Support Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) audit testing, enforce internal control SOPs, manage fixed assets reporting, and coordinate cycle and year-end inventory physical counts.
Continuous Improvement & Partnership: Drive Accounts Payable (A/P) process improvements to reduce transactional costs, analyze production orders to minimize absolute material losses, and deliver periodic financial training to cross-functional plant teams.
