Job description

You will serve as a FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT ANALYST in the COST ACCOUNTING (C611), Accounting Division (C610), Comptroller Department (C600) of NORFOLK NAVAL SHIPYARD.Qualifications:To qualify for the GS-09: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
  • Experience with basic budget submission processes.
  • Experience applying budgeting principals and analyzing fiscal reporting documents.
  • Experience reviewing and performing audits on funding to ensure compliance.
To qualify for the GS-07: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-05 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
  • Experience with the basics of planning, programming, budgeting and execution.
  • Experience with purpose, time, and amount/appropriation law.
  • Experience with incoming and outgoing funding.
