This role ensures adherence to federal regulations, grant terms, and organizational policies while supporting program leaders with accurate financial data and analysis throughout the full grant lifecycle.
Job Description:
Remote Work Available
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Manage financial operations for federal grants, including budgets, expenditures, cost allocation, and funding drawdowns
  • Ensure compliance with federal regulations, including the Uniform Guidance (Title 2, Code of Federal Regulations, Part 200)
  • Prepare and submit required federal financial reports (e.g., Federal Financial Reports)
  • Reconcile grant activity to the general ledger and federal payment systems
  • Support internal and external audits, including Single Audits
  • Assist with grant budget development, forecasting, and variance analysis
  • Collaborate with program managers and internal teams to ensure financial accuracy
  • Support grant closeout activities and documentation retention

QUALIFICATIONS:
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field
  • 3-5 years of experience in federal grant accounting or financial administration
  • Knowledge of federal grant regulations and financial reporting requirements
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
  • Proficiency in accounting systems and Microsoft Excel

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with healthcare, nonprofit, government, or higher education grants
  • Experience with federal agencies such as Health and Human Services, Justice, Housing and Urban Development, or Energy
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Government Financial Manager (CGFM) credential
  • Familiarity with indirect cost rates and cost allocation plans
