Job description

Garrett Brands is looking for a career-minded Financial Analyst to join our team at our corporate headquarters in Aurora, IL. 

Garrett Brands is a global business with a focus on selling gourmet confections through brick-and-mortar locations, as well as through eCommerce and grocery and other retailer channels.  Key responsibilities include forecasting, data analysis, performance reporting, KPI development, and reporting for the global Garrett Popcorn line of business, as well as the Frango chocolate line of business. 

The ideal candidate must demonstrate the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment, work under complete discretion and confidentiality, and have a willingness to learn and grow.

RESPONSIBILITIES

·         Develop financial models to support decision-making and negotiations for the Garrett Popcorn Ready-To-Eat (RTE) business

·         Execute financial and operational analyses for all lines of business, both domestic and international; for example:

·         Prepare and analyze financial variances against budget, forecast, and prior year actual performance

·         Produce product mix reporting, and update on a regular cadence to manage any significant changes in the business

·         Develop reports to plan promotions and then summarize the corresponding performance

·         Review operational performance with the goal of optimizing production, waste and manpower at Garrett Popcorn Shops globally

·         Partner with cross functional teams to assess performance of new marketing or product initiatives

·         Analyze market opportunities and assist in creating strategies for new lines of growth that will drive revenue and manage costs (i.e., promotional/marketing offers, new business channels, etc.)

·         Prepare financial reporting packages for senior management team encompassing financial statements, analysis reports, and KPI dashboards

·         Assist with ad-hoc projects as part of the Finance team to support company’s continued growth

JOB REQUIREMENTS

·         Bachelor’s degree in finance

·         3-5  years’ experience in finance or accounting role

·         Detailed understanding of fundamental business economics – profitability and operational efficiency

·         Ability to leverage data to drive strategic insights and make actionable, results oriented recommendations through complex financial models while maintaining "big picture" focus

·         Advanced analytics (Excel) and presentation (PowerPoint) skills with ability to communicate findings in a clear concise manner to project stakeholders and executive stakeholders

·         Ability to prioritize tasks and respond to quick turnaround time in rapidly changing environment

·         Ability to effectively collaborate and communicate with all levels of management

·         Strong discretion and ability to maintain confidentiality


Compensation:

·         The anticipated salary range for this position is $115,000 - $122,000. The actual salary offer will carefully consider a few factors, including your job-related knowledge, skills, qualifications and experience.  Benefits include Medical, Dental, Vision Insurance; Employer paid Short- and Long-Term Disability Insurance; Employer paid life insurance and eligibility to participate in the company 401(k) plan with annual discretionary match.   This position is eligible for the Garrett Hybrid Work Arrangement (2-3x week in Aurora office).
