Analyst/Associate, Asset Management

As an Asset Management Analyst/Associate at LV Collective, you'll play a pivotal role in maximizing the value of our national portfolio of assets through strategic analysis, financial planning, and cross-functional collaboration. You will support the Asset Management team by providing operational insights, market research, and data-driven recommendations to drive asset performance and enhance investor outcomes.
Transactions
ย ย ย ย ย ย Facilitate transactions by compiling and reviewing due diligence materials and drafting responses to inquiries from brokers and potential investors
Financial Analysis & Reporting
ย ย ย ย ย ย Perform financial analyses to evaluate impacts of strategic decisions, such as refinancings and recapitalizations, on returns, yields, and financing covenants across the LV portfolio.
ย ย ย ย ย ย Review financial reporting packages, identify key performance drivers and shortfalls, and produce investment reports for internal leadership and capital partners.
ย ย ย ย ย ย Work with LV's operations and property accounting teams, as well as other key internal stakeholders to meet deadlines for internal and external reporting.
Operational Analysis
ย ย ย ย ย ย Support the Asset Management team with analytical and operational assistance across LV's leasing and marketing, financial planning and analysis, and property operations platforms.
ย ย ย ย ย ย Coordinate with the Operations team to analyze and assess proposed operating budgets for LV deals and benchmark properties' performance to them throughout the academic year.
ย ย ย ย ย ย Oversee and coordinate value-add renovation strategies, including cross-functional coordination with accounting, construction, design, and operations teams to ensure projects are executed on time and within budget.
Leasing & Marketing Analysis
ย ย ย ย ย ย Monitor macro and micro-market leasing trends, evaluate LV's performance against the market, and recommend adjustments to leasing strategies and rates.
ย ย ย ย ย ย Travel to LV's active markets to assess the performance of LV's assets and conduct competitor analyses.
ย ย ย ย ย ย Contribute to LV's Retail leasing process by conducting LOI reviews, participating in lease negotiations, and maintaining tenant relationships.
Requirements/Qualifications
ย ย ย ย ย ย Bachelor's degree in Finance, Real Estate, Economics, Business, or a related field;
ย ย ย ย ย ย 3-6 years of experience in asset management, real estate private equity, investment banking, or a similar analytical role
ย ย ย ย ย ย Strong financial modeling skills with proficiency in Excel and an understanding of valuation, IRR, and waterfall analysis
ย ย ย ย ย ย Familiarity with property-level operations, budgeting, and leasing strategies; student housing or mixed-use experience preferred
ย ย ย ย ย ย Experience overseeing value-add renovations for residential projects is a significant plus
ย ย ย ย ย ย Experience interpreting financial reports such as rent rolls, T12s, and budget variance reports
ย ย ย ย ย ย Ability to synthesize large amounts of data into clear, actionable insights for internal and external stakeholders
ย ย ย ย ย ย Highly organized and able to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
ย ย ย ย ย ย Willingness to travel to properties and markets as needed
