Job description

As a Senior Financial Analyst, you'll partner with sales and finance leaders to develop business strategies, financial models, and analytical insights. This role requires problem-solving to navigate ambiguous projects where you and your team will define the problem space, establish frameworks, and create structure from complexity. Individually, you'll manage a portfolio focused on customer growth trends, productivity measures, and resource planning improvements, while helping build best-in-class finance practices across AWS. Success in this role includes -
• Supporting strategic financial analyses for key business initiatives and investments
• Coordinating revenue planning with Sales, Marketing, and support teams
• Managing a portfolio of sales organization productivity measurements
• Integrating GenAI into sales financial planning and analysis processes
The ideal candidate is confident in working with open-ended business cases and can manage the case from hypothesis definition, through analytical insight and recommendation. You must support decision-making in fast-paced environments with strong data discovery skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects autonomously. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are essential for executive and cross-functional interactions.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 3+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience
- 4+ years of applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses experience
- 4+ years of creating process improvements with automation and analysis experience
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 4+ years of participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results experience
- MBA, or CPA
- Knowledge of Tableau
- Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
