Who You Are
The Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Intern is a motivated student eager to gain hands-on experience in corporate finance. You will support the broader finance team in providing financial leadership and strategic insights to various business units. The ideal candidate possesses strong analytical curiosity, a proactive approach to problem-solving, and the ability to translate complex data into actionable recommendations. You are highly organized and capable of meeting tight deadlines in a rapidly changing, dynamic environment.
Responsibilities and Duties
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly and quarterly financial packages.
  • Support Senior Analysts and Managers in conducting variance analysis (budget vs. actual) and identifying trends in financial performance.
  • Participate in the annual budgeting and reforecasting processes.
  • Help build and maintain financial models to support strategic planning and critical business decisions.
  • Support the finance team in engaging with business units to understand their financial needs and challenges.
  • Assist with data extraction and entry within financial systems.
  • Contribute to projects focused on improving and optimizing financial systems and processes to drive efficiency and automation.
  • Support the team with special analysis and system enhancement projects as required.
Knowledge and Skill Requirements
  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets.
  • Ability to conduct financial analysis and present data clearly.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Physical Demands and Working Conditions
  • Move long distances (such as from building to building) and be stationary for extended periods of time
  • Operate a computer and other office equipment, such as a laptop, copier/printer, etc in a fixed location

The starting base pay for this role is between $20/hr and $25/hr at the time of posting. The actual base pay depends on many factors, such as education, experience, and skills. Base pay is only one part of Sila's competitive Total Rewards package that can include benefits, perks, and equity. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. This role may also be eligible for overtime.
