Overview
In addition to testing responsibilities, this VP, ITU Data Analytics & Reporting position will also lead the design and execution of data-driven analytics and reporting capabilities to enhance our risk-based testing and automation initiative . The role requires a forward-thinking professional who can leverage Artificial Intelligence (AI), automation, and workflow enhancements to improve the efficiency, consistency, and value of risk-based activities.
This role focuses on leveraging data analytics, automation, and reporting tools to evaluate process performance, test control design and operating effectiveness, monitor risk and control indicators, and validate remediation or corrective actions. This position is an individual contributor role responsible for directly leading and executing analytics and reporting initiatives, supporting risk-based testing and monitoring activities, and delivering measurable outcomes without direct management responsibilities.
Responsibilities
Data Analytics, Reporting & Risk Insight
  • Lead the identification, prioritization, and delivery of analytics and reporting capabilities that support risk-based process reviews, control testing, monitoring, and validation activities
  • Assist with the AI adoption strategy for the department, including identifying high-impact use cases, developing organizational capabilities, and promoting a culture of innovation and continuous learning.
  • Develop data-driven approaches to assess process performance, identify control gaps, detect trends, and support timely management action
  • Design and implement recurring reports, dashboards, and analytical routines that enhance consistency, reduce manual effort, and improve the reliability of testing and monitoring outputs
  • Establish and maintain a centralized inventory of analytics, reporting, monitoring, and validation use cases, including prioritization, ownership, status tracking, and benefit realization
  • Partner with Technology and Data teams to ensure reporting and analytics solutions align with enterprise architecture, data governance, access management, and security standards.

Testing, Monitoring & Validation Enablement
  • Translate process, control, testing, monitoring, and validation objectives into clearly defined data requirements, reporting logic, and analytical procedures
  • Partner with Risk, business, Technology, Data, and control owners to design practical analytics that support control design assessments, operating effectiveness testing, and issue validation
  • Own the lifecycle of reporting and analytics initiatives from requirements through design, build, testing, implementation, and ongoing enhancement
  • Drive alignment between risk objectives, testing methodologies, reporting outputs, and technical execution to ensure analytics are fit-for-purpose and support defensible conclusions.

Advanced Analytics (SQL) & Business Insight (Power BI)
  • Lead development of Power BI dashboards and analytics capabilities that provide actionable insight into process performance, control effectiveness, risk trends, testing results, monitoring outcomes, and validation status
  • Utilize data analytics (e.g. - SQL, Power BI) to mine, analyze and interpret patterns to detect potential breaches.
  • Define and standardize key risk indicators, key performance indicators, control metrics, and testing/monitoring measures to support consistent, data-driven oversight
  • Partner with data teams and application owners to ensure data quality, completeness, lineage, integrity, and governance across reporting and analytics platforms
  • Promote adoption of self-service analytics and standardized reporting to enhance transparency, comparability, and timely identification of risk and control issues.

Process, Control & Reporting Optimization
  • Assess business processes and control activities to identify opportunities for analytics-enabled testing, automated monitoring, exception reporting, and validation support
  • Drive simplification, standardization, and integration of reporting and analytical processes to improve efficiency, consistency, and repeatability
  • Document data sources, business rules, reporting logic, assumptions, limitations, and control dependencies to support auditability and sustainable execution
  • Prioritize analytics that produce measurable risk management value, support timely escalation, and strengthen evidence-based decision-making.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent (Master's Degree preferred)
  • Minimum 8-10 years of related work experience in audit, supervision, risk management or compliance with a banking / financial services company.
  • Knowledge of banking operations, products, and services; experience with risks and controls/control gap identification related to Loan Operations, Commercial Lending and Banking, Retail Banking, Bank Support and Corporate functions, BSA/AML/OFAC, Payment Fraud Cross-border Banking, and Digital Banking is a big plus.
  • Understanding of federal and/or state compliance regulatory requirements applicable to Banks (CFPB and FRB).
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in one or combination of reporting, analytics, and data management

Skills & Knowledge
  • Detail-oriented, strong analytical and effective organizational skills, with emphasis on data reporting and analysis
  • Ability to effectively manage and multi-task various projects, deliverables and initiatives
  • Hands-on experience designing, developing and maintaining reports, analysis and dashboards (PowerBI)
  • Advanced experience designing and generating reports and analysis utilizing a combination of Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS), AI, and PowerBI
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills to effectively interact with all levels within the organization

The base pay range for this position is USD $90,000.00/Yr. - USD $150,000.00/Yr. Exact offers will be determined based on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and location.
