  • Strong interpersonal skills and confidence communicating with clients.
  • Ability to adapt communication to clients with different needs, backgrounds, and levels of financial knowledge.
  • Excellent organization, follow‑through, and attention to detail.
  • A proactive and team‑oriented approach.
  • Comfort learning new technology and using Microsoft Office, including Excel.
  • Ability to explain financial information clearly and professionally.
  • Interest in building a long‑term career in financial planning and wealth management.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • APMA designation preferred or willingness to obtain it after hire.
What This Role Does Not Require

  • Immediate responsibility for prospecting or bringing new assets to the practice.
  • An established history of financial product sales.
  • A CFP certification.

This position is designed to grow alongside the individual. The Associate Financial Advisor will initially concentrate on supporting existing clients and learning the practice’s approach to financial planning. Over time, the role may expand to include leading client meetings, overseeing portions of the financial planning process, managing client relationships, and participating in future practice‑growth or succession opportunities.

Compensation
  • Salary: $75,000–$90,000 – exempt.
Depending on experience, licensing, and demonstrated ability to work directly with clients.
  • Performance‑based bonus opportunity.
  • Additional compensation growth tied to professional development, expanded responsibilities, and completion of the APMA designation.
