Job description

We’re Hiring: Client Service Specialist – Edmonds, WA

Sage Advisor Group | Hybrid (In-Office Initially) | Full-Time

Are you passionate about creating exceptional client experiences and looking for an opportunity to build a long-term career within a growing financial advisory practice? Sage Advisor Group is seeking a Client Service Specialist to join our team in Edmonds, WA.

At Sage Advisor Group, our mission is to build a client-focused practice that allows us to focus on our professional passions, maintain work-life balance, and grow sustainably—independent of any one individual. We are a collaborative, high-integrity team committed to excellence, communication, and delivering an exceptional client experience.

This role is designed for someone who enjoys building relationships, improving processes, and becoming a trusted resource for clients and the team. While this position begins with a focus on client service, there is a clear career path toward expanded responsibilities, industry licensing, and future operational leadership opportunities.

What You’ll Do

As a Client Service Specialist, you will serve as a key member of our Service Experience Team and help ensure clients receive a seamless, professional, and personalized experience.

Responsibilities include:

  • Serve as the first point of contact for clients by answering incoming calls and acting as a professional gatekeeper for the practice
  • Create an exceptional client scheduling experience and coordinate meetings efficiently
  • Prepare client meeting materials and assist with meeting preparation
  • Follow up with clients regarding service requests and ensure timely resolution
  • Process simple trades and money movement requests
  • Support account maintenance and client service workflows
  • Maintain accurate documentation and follow established procedures
  • Identify opportunities to improve the client experience and internal processes
  • Collaborate with advisors and team members to support the overall success of the practice

Career Growth & Development

At Sage Advisor Group, this role is not a “sit in a chair and do the same thing forever” position. We believe in developing our team members and providing a clear path for professional growth.

The career path for this position includes progression toward:

Client Service Manager

  • Expanded client relationship responsibilities
  • Increased operational ownership
  • Leadership opportunities within the service experience team

Long-Term Growth Opportunities

  • Financial planning support
  • Operational leadership responsibilities
  • Potential advancement into broader practice management roles

Professional development milestones include:

  • Completion of the Financial Paraplanner Qualified Professional (FPQP) designation
  • Completion of industry licensing requirements, including:
    • SIE
    • Series 7
    • Series 66
    • Insurance licensing

Candidates should be willing to pursue licensing within a one-to-two-year timeframe.

Work Schedule

This position will begin primarily in-office to support training, onboarding, and integration into the practice.

After successful completion of training, there is potential for a hybrid schedule.

Sage values flexibility and believes employees should be present and engaged both at work and at home.

Why Join Sage Advisor Group?

You’ll have the opportunity to join a team that values:

  • Client-first service
  • Integrity and accountability
  • Continuous improvement
  • Professional growth
  • Work-life balance
  • Building something sustainable for the future

If you are looking for a role where your work directly impacts clients, your ideas are valued, and your career can grow over time, we would love to meet you.

Equal Opportunity Employer
Sage Advisor Group is an Equal Opportunity Employer and welcomes applicants from all backgrounds.

A background check will be conducted as part of the hiring process. Successful completion is required for employment in accordance with applicable laws.

Who We’re Looking For

The ideal candidate is someone who:

  • Enjoys working directly with clients and building strong relationships
  • Communicates clearly and professionally, both verbally and in writing
  • Is highly organized, detail-oriented, and committed to excellence
  • Takes ownership of responsibilities and follows through on commitments
  • Enjoys learning, problem-solving, and improving processes
  • Thrives in a collaborative, team-focused environment
  • Demonstrates integrity and professionalism in all interactions
  • Has prior client service experience (financial services experience is a plus but not required)
