Sargent Corporation is seeking a Finance Director to join our collaborative team based in Orono, Maine.

Reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer, the Finance Director is a strategic financial leader responsible for advancing Sargent's growth strategy through mergers and acquisitions, financial planning and analysis, treasury management, and long-range financial planning. This highly visible leadership role serves as a trusted advisor to the Executive and Senior Management teams, providing the financial insight and analytical foundation that guides enterprise strategy, capital allocation decisions, and future growth initiatives. The ideal candidate will bring a blend of strategic thinking, strong financial acumen, M&A experience, and a collaborative leadership style.

Requirements of the Finance Director
  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or related fieldrequired
  • MBA, CFA, or other advanced financial credentials preferred
  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive finance experience, including at least 3 years in aDirector-level or senior leadership role
  • Demonstrated mergers and acquisitions experience, including sourcing, due diligence, valuation, deal structuring, and integration
  • Strong financial modeling, forecasting, and strategic planningexpertise
  • Advancedproficiencyin Excel and financial analysis
  • Deep understanding of capital allocation, treasury management, and risk management principles
