Job description

Your Key Responsibilities

The Accelerated Leadership Program is comprised of four six-month rotations that provide cross-departmental exposure. Each rotation can be located at any of our facilities throughout the North American Region (USA, Mexico and Canada), including the possibility for other international rotations. The first rotation will start in Auburn Hills, Michigan. Upon graduation of the program, a permanent position in Auburn Hills, Michigan as a Purchasing Specialist is guaranteed.

Purchasing Career Path Responsibilities

  • Partner with a mentor who is an experienced professional to develop best practices and evolve into a leader at Schaeffler
  • Gain knowledge alongside experts in relevant and cross-functional departments
  • Trained based on the 70:20:10 model which emphasizes a mixture of hands-on experience, mentoring, and formal training
  • Leadership training and tools to develop leadership skills
  • Complete rotation development milestones
  • Become equipped for your guaranteed position upon graduation
Your Qualifications

For this high-potential development program, we are looking for candidates who are ambitious, creative, enthusiastic, and passionate about leadership and their professional growth.

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain / Operations Management or related Business degree
  • 3.0 minimum GPA
  • At least two rotations of relevant co-ops or internships
  • Experience in a fast-paced environment preferred
  • Leadership experience or exposure preferred
  • Thorough understanding of engineering principals
  • Excellent Organization and Communication skills
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills
  • Willingness to relocate every 6 months
