Overview

Completes all print processes in HRS Print Center Operations in a timely manner and implements escalation procedures by contacting individuals or organizations to ensure a timely resolution.


Responsibilities
  • Loads and unloads required paper stock to ensure that proper paper is used for each print job.
  • Stocks printer supplies and other storage areas to ensure adequate supply levels.
  • Performs normal maintenance and cleaning of printers, including replacing toner, fuser oil, and waste containers, and clearing printer jams to ensure proper operation of printers.
  • Monitors and inspects all printed output to ensure that all print jobs meet established quality standards.
  • Reports or resolves all maintenance issues to ensure that all machines are functioning within established downtime standards.
  • Analyzes and resolves basic printer problems to ensure proper performance of all printers.
  • Analyzes and prioritizes workloads, including managing weekly schedule of production jobs, to ensure that all production jobs are completed within established schedules.
  • Ensures quality output by making necessary alignments and adjustments to printers.
  • Communicates effectively with the data center to ensure timeliness and completion of all print jobs within established schedules.
  • Executes and monitors all quarter-end and year-end printing to ensure that they meet established specifications and coordinates resolution of any problems.
  • Processes all special requests sent from the data center to ensure that tasks are completed as instructed, meeting all quality and timeliness standards.
  • Sets up printer and job properties to execute scheduled jobs, including trays, quantity, duplex, and alignments.
  • Performs maintenance tasks including print density adjustments, changing color units, replacing binding tapes and staples, and replacing PR belt and heat rollers.
  • Logs calls with Xerox and follows steps to resolve issue before tech is required on site. Documents problem and updates log with resolution.
  • Tracks statistical information to assist with planning of print jobs.
  • Shuts down and restarts printer subsystems and UNIX workstations (EPS controllers).
  • Mentors Level I Operators to ensure that adequate leadership is available.
  • Acts as shift supervisor during absences to ensure that adequate leadership is available.
  • Performs quality assurance checks on print outputs and coordinates reruns when necessary to ensure that print jobs meet established standards.
  • Communicates the status of daily operational tasks through turnover documents and one-on-one communication to keep management up-to-date on Print Center activity.
  • Notifies the supervisor of situations that will affect the delivery of scheduled jobs to ensure that all jobs are still completed within established standards.

Qualifications
  • H.S. Diploma - Required
  • 2 years of experience in Print environment or related field.
