Job Summary

Our Technology Finance team is seeking a Manager to serve as the primary finance business partner to Engineering Excellence, IT Security, Data & Analytics and Data Science – Four of DIO's most strategically critical functions. This role is pivotal in providing financial insight, modeling, and governance that enables engineering and technology leaders to make faster, better-informed decisions across a combined opex and capital portfolio.

The Manager will lead monthly forecasting, annual budgeting, quarterly guidance, strategic long-range financial planning, KPI management, business case development, project financial reporting, and executive presentations. This role is a seat at the table with technology leadership, requiring someone who can translate complex financial dynamics into clear recommendations that drive real decisions.

The ideal candidate combines rigorous financial discipline with genuine curiosity about technology. They get close enough to the business to understand what engineering leaders are trying to accomplish and translate that understanding into financial insight that actually influences outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Finance business partnership: Serve as the trusted finance business partner to Engineering Excellence, IT Security, Data & Analytics and Data Science — building strong relationships with functional leaders and becoming an indispensable part of how those teams make decisions

  • Planning & forecasting: Lead annual budgeting, quarterly forecasting, and monthly reporting across full opex and capitalizable costs, including headcount (S&B) and non-people costs (Non-S&B)

  • Variance analysis: Perform actuals vs. forecast, actuals vs. budget, and year-over-year comparisons — identifying key trends, drivers, and risks with clear, actionable narratives for leadership

  • Business case development: Build and maintain business cases for tech investments, covering NPV, IRR, ROI, and payback analysis, using a consistent methodology aligned to Finance governance standards

  • Capitalization governance: Partner with Accounting to ensure correct capitalization treatment of engineering labor and project costs, including monthly allocation submissions, Oracle project code management, and go-live date tracking

  • Headcount management: Partner with HR to maintain accurate headcount forecasts and support headcount reconciliation across FTE and contingent worker populations

  • Purchase order management: Complete purchase order approvals and partner with Accounting to ensure financial reports accurately reflect monthly expenses

  • Process improvement: Identify and implement opportunities for process improvement and automation including AI-enabled workflows to increase efficiency, accuracy, and reporting quality

  • Executive reporting: Deliver high-quality financial packages and presentations for senior executives and business partners, including the CDIO and DIO functional leaders

  • Ad hoc analysis: Support ad hoc financial analysis as needed across the DIO portfolio

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in FP&A, financial analysis, or finance business partnering with demonstrated experience in forecasting, budgeting, and executive-level financial presentations

  • Proficiency in spreadsheet modeling and financial systems including Hyperion Essbase, Anaplan, and Oracle PPM (or equivalent ERP and planning tools)

  • Working knowledge of capitalization principles - understanding the distinction between Opex and Prepaid Opex for internally developed software is a plus

  • Demonstrated interest in or experience with AI-enabled financial analysis, automation of reporting workflows, or data-driven FP&A - experience with tools such as Power BI, Anaplan, or similar is a plus

  • Experience in a technology, digital, or SaaS business environment is a plus

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field required; MBA preferred

  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize and deliver across multiple workstreams in a fast-paced environment

  • Strong numerical, analytical, and written communication skills with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail

  • Comfortable working independently and collaboratively and effective in ambiguous environments and structured processes

The targeted pay range for this position in the following location is / locations are:

United States - Tampa Office TAO : 103,000 - 155,000 USD / Annual

United States - Dallas Infomart Office DAI : 103,000 - 155,000 USD / Annual

Canada - Toronto Office TRO : 99,000 - 149,000 CAD / Annual

Our pay ranges reflect the minimum and maximum target for new hire pay for the full-time position determined by role, level, and location.The pay range shown is based on our compensation structure in place at the time of posting and may be updated periodically based on business needs. Individual pay is based on additional factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education and/or training.

The targeted pay range listed reflects the base pay only and does not include bonus, equity, or benefits. Employees are eligible for bonus, and equity may be offered depending on the position.
