Summary of Role:
We are looking for a Finance Manager to support MIPS' IP Licensing and Tools businesses- core growth engines as we scale our RISC-V and Physical AI platform.
The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in IFRS revenue recognition and a strong understanding of how to align commercial deal structures with compliant accounting outcomes.
This is a hands-on finance leadership role, embedded in the business and influencing commercial and investment decisions.
Essential Responsibilities
Revenue & Contract Ownership
  • Partner with Sales, Legal, and Finance to structure IP licensing and tools agreements
  • Own end-to-end contract economics, including performance obligation assessment and revenue recognition under IFRS 15
  • Ensure deal structures and revenue timing align with both commercial objectives and accounting requirements

Business Partnering
  • Act as the primary finance partner for Product, Engineering, and Operations leaders
  • Evaluate R&D investments, cost structures, and profitability across licensing and tools offerings
  • Support pricing, deal strategies, and trade-off decisions with clear financial insights

Financial Leadership
  • Lead end-to-end financial planning, forecasting, and performance management for the IP Licensing and Tools businesses
  • Drive forecasting accuracy, operating cadence, variance analysis, and management reporting
  • Proactively identify risks and opportunities and translate them into actionable recommendations

AI Enablement & Automation
  • Drive automation across FP&A and contract workflows, leveraging AI to improve forecast accuracy, efficiency, and scalability while reducing manual, spreadsheet-driven processes

Other Responsibilities:
• Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements and programs.
Required Qualifications
  • CPA, MBA, or relevant Master's degree
  • 5-8 years of progressive finance or accounting experience, ideally in semiconductor IP licensing
  • Deep expertise in IFRS 15 revenue recognition and contract structuring across complex technology arrangements
  • Exceptional analytical, communication, and executive-level presentation skills

Expected Salary Range
$105,000.00 - $189,000.00
