Position Responsibilities
About the Role
This internship sits within the Cloud & Technology FP&A team and offers direct exposure to how finance operates inside a fast-moving software business. The intern will do real analytical work - supporting the team through key parts of the financial calendar, including budget preparation and monthly close - and will own a defined summer project scoped to current team priorities at the start of the engagement.
What You'll Do
  • Support month-end close - pull, clean, and analyze actuals vs. plan across key cost and revenue categories; flag variances and help build the close commentary
  • Assist with annual budget preparation - support model builds, data validation, and cross-functional data requests during the planning cycle
  • Develop financial analysis and summaries that support team deliverables and leadership reporting
  • Own a summer project tied to team priorities - scoped collaboratively at the start of the internship with a clear deliverable and end-of-summer presentation
  • Present findings to the team and relevant stakeholders at the close of the summer

Qualifications
  • Currently pursuing a degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; graduating 2026-2027
  • Comfortable in Excel - modeling, pivot tables, data manipulation; not an expert, but not afraid of a spreadsheet
  • Detail-oriented; can work with large datasets without losing sight of the so what
  • Clear communicator - can explain a number and why it matters, in writing and in a room
  • Self-directed; knows when to ask for direction and when to figure it out

Compensation Info
The U.S. hourly range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00. This range is subject to change as Deltek takes a number of factors into consideration when determining individual base pay, such as location, job-related knowledge, skills and experience. Certain roles are eligible for additional rewards, including incentive compensation and equity.
