Job description

This is a hybrid remote position. A minimum of 3 days a week in the office is required. Our office is located in Colchester, VT.
JOB DESCRIPTION
The Continuing Care Senior Accountant (Senior Accountant) is a hybrid position responsible for performing various duties related to the completion of timely and accurate monthly financial statements. They will record transactions for designated sections of the financial statements and be responsible for providing support for the Director of Accounting and Director of Finance.
The Senior Accountant will be responsible for the preparation of varying schedules related to the year end audit, tax returns, and the annual cost report. They will also be responsible for reviewing designated sections of the financial statements. The Senior Accountant will assist in the workflow for the production of the monthly financial statements.
The Senior Accountant will provide the primary financial management and related analysis support for Continuing Care. They will act as the liaison for Finance by interpreting the finance support needs of his/her customer group(s)and responding to those needs by facilitating the application of appropriate resources in conjunction with Finance. In addition, they will organize and present the financial basis for strategic and operational decision making by his/her customers (leadership team).
EDUCATION
Bachelor's Degree in accounting, finance or other appropriate disciplines
EXPERIENCE
Minimum seven years of relevant technical and accounting experience, or a combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and skills are required.
