About Lev
Lev is transforming the $700B commercial real estate financing space. We have built a digital platform that matches borrowers and brokers with the best-fit lenders for their deals, and uses AI to fully automate time-consuming financing workflows.
We are the first people to be tackling this problem at scale. That's why top-tier VCs and a who's who of financial companies have invested more than $100M to help us grab this massive opportunity.
Our company and products are on the bleeding edge of practical AI and agents to serve customers, and our company itself is deeply AI-powered. Our team is an incredible mix of customer- and solution-oriented builders and sellers, working together to create a generational company to bring an industry into the digital age.
About the role
We are seeking a hands-on, AI-fluent Finance & Operations Manager who will report directly to the CEO and own a broad remit including budgeting, financial modeling, performance tracking, vendor management, and oversight of external bookkeepers. The right candidate will be extremely AI-forward and will use tools like Runway to automate and enhance workflows and drive operational efficiency.
What you'll do
  • Partner with the CEO and leadership team to develop, maintain, and refine annual and quarterly budgets, financial forecasts and rolling models to support strategic decision-making.
  • Monitor ongoing performance against those models: key drivers, variances, root-cause analysis, and proactive recommendations for course-correction.
  • Prepare and present regular financial dashboards, KPIs and management reports in an understandable, actionable way.
  • Oversee our external bookkeepers: ensure timely and accurate transaction capture, reconciliations, general ledger integrity, accounts payable/receivable oversight, and month-end close routines.
  • Manage software/SaaS/vendor contracts: maintain the inventory of software tools, negotiate and manage renewals, optimize vendor spend, ensure contract compliance, and work to reduce redundancy and cost leakage.
  • Lead process design and automation in finance & operations: identify opportunities for AI or workflow automation to streamline budgeting, forecasting, vendor management, contract approvals, and operational workflows.
  • Act as a bridge between finance/ops and other teams to ensure alignment of financial and operational processes, drive cost-effectiveness, and embed operational discipline.
  • Maintain strong internal controls, risk management, compliance frameworks and ensure data integrity across financial systems.
  • Manage ad-hoc strategic projects (e.g., system upgrades, tool implementations, scaling operations, potential M&A or funding support) as assigned by the CEO.

The must haves
  • 5+ years of experience in finance, operations or FP&A roles in high-growth SaaS, technology or startup environments.
  • Strong hands-on experience with budgeting, forecasting, modeling, and variance analysis.
  • Experience managing or coordinating bookkeeping functions, month-end close, AP/AR, software/vendor contract management.
  • Deep comfort with spreadsheets and financial modeling.
  • Proven track record using AI to drive operational efficiency.
  • Strong analytical mindset, data-orientation and ability to translate numbers into insights.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • High level of organization, ability to manage multiple priorities and drive initiatives end-to-end.
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or related field (MBA or CPA a plus).

The nitty gritty
  • This is an office-based role in NYC (4 days in office)
  • Unlimited PTO
  • Excellent health insurance for you and your dependents
  • Generous stock incentive plan
  • Daily DoorDash credit for lunch and plenty of in-office snacks
  • Subsidized access to Gympass for health and wellness
