Job Description

This role is responsible for X-energy's business-related activities to include financial reporting, vendor management, and financial analysis in support of X-energy led programs/projects.


Job Profile Tasks/Responsibilities

  • Budgeting and Financial Planning:
    • Responsible for various financial functions such as budgeting, forecasting, and analysis.
    • Develops and maintains project plans and Estimate to Completes (EACs) supporting the financial analysis of programs.
    • Works with program and project managers to develop program budget and review for completeness and accuracy.
    • Creates, maintains, and updates financial databases and spreadsheets, and generates various financial reports as required.
    • Applies consistent analysis and attention to detail in work pertaining to the consolidation and review of financial information, and their associated analysis, as they are shared with the Senior Leadership Team.
    • Generates monthly internal financial reports such as program cash flow, indirect rate variance, and monthly program budget status reports.
    • Provides key input and analysis in support of monthly and quarterly operating reviews.
  • Project Control:
    • Analyzes assigned contracts' projected staff hours, contract totals, revenues, and profit totals.
    • Assists with project financial reporting to Government and Commercial customers.
    • Keeps program managers informed of the status and availability of funds.
    • Works with procurement and contracts staff to track actual and budget costs.
  • Maintain professional demeanor and behavior at all times in all forms of communication.
  • Support team members with the execution of the core tasks and responsibilities, listed in the Job Profile Task/Responsibilities section of this document, under guided supervision.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by manager.

Job Profile Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in any field from an accredited institution.
  • Typically, three years of experience in a relevant role required.
  • Experience with financial management.

Location:Rockville, MD

Work Site Expectations: 4 days onsite, 1 day remote
Travel Expectations:5%, as needed
Hours: Standard office hours are Monday -Friday, 8:00am EST to 5:00pm EST

Compensation

Offers within the posted salary range are commensurate with the individual's qualifications for the position, along with a view on internal equity, market data, and room for growth. The salary range for this position is:
