Senior Controller

Adairsville, GA

YANMAR America is seeking a Senior Controller to lead our accounting operations and consolidated financial reporting functions. This is a high-impact leadership role responsible for financial reporting, internal controls, tax coordination, budgeting, forecasting, audit support, and strategic financial analysis across the organization.

What You'll Do:

✔ Lead day-to-day accounting operations, including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, cash receipts, reconciliations, accruals, and month-end close activities

✔ Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, consolidated reports, and management reporting packages

✔ Strengthen accounting policies, internal controls, compliance procedures, and financial reporting processes

✔ Oversee accounting reserves, estimates, tax reporting, and regulatory compliance requirements

✔ Coordinate with external auditors, tax advisors, and compliance partners

✔ Lead annual budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, and management reporting efforts

✔ Partner with business leaders on P amp;L performance, inventory management, cost accounting, and financial planning initiatives

✔ Drive process improvements, system enhancements, and accounting best practices

✔ Oversee credit, collections, cash management, and financial risk mitigation activities

✔ Lead audit preparation and support external audit requirements

✔ Coach, mentor, and develop accounting staff while fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement

What We're Looking For:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance

Minimum 10 years of progressive accounting and finance experience

At least 5 years of experience in a Controller, Assistant Controller, or senior accounting leadership role

Experience using Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365) or a comparable ERP system in a corporate accounting environment.

Strong knowledge of GAAP, internal controls, financial reporting, tax compliance, and audit processes

Experience overseeing AP, AR, General Ledger, month-end close, and financial statement preparation

Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and experience with ERP/accounting systems

Excellent communication, leadership, and cross-functional partnership abilities

Preferred Qualifications:

⭐ CPA designation preferred

⭐ Manufacturing industry experience preferred

⭐ Cost accounting experience preferred

⭐ Multi-currency accounting experience preferred

⭐ Consolidation and financial reporting experience strongly preferred
