Job description

What we will achieve together :

The Accounting Manager will be a key member of the finance team, responsible for the coordination of all accounting topics between internal stakeholders and the SSC Team, handling all local accounting work, leading & managing the internal control campaign, contributing to external audit and handling project management for all ongoing and future business projects of SEB professional and Wilbur Curtis.

Salary Range: $100,000 - $135,0000 Annual Salary Annual Bonus Potential up to 5% of annual salary.  

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as relationship manager for all accounting & related topics between SSC team and local Seb professional and Wilbur Curtis team. Be the single point of contact for local business partners on all requests to the SSC

  • Coordinate the monthly closing process between the local finance team and the SSC, including the review P&L and balance sheet accounts.

  • Manage all the local accounting work for both companies including Fixed asset management, coordinating AP and AR activities (Physical AR check, Credit card payments, sharing physical AP invoices to SSC) and Balance Sheet analytical review,

  • Maintain summary and reconciliation of all major balance sheet and P&L accounts such as Imports purchases, access cost, Energy expenses, freight outward, Insurance expenses, IT expenses, accrued payables, product liability etc.

  • Lead the Internal Control campaign locally. Coordinate and follow up with all departments and ensure submission of Internal Control checks for Finance.

  • Participate in the external audit: coordinate audit preparation with SSC team and prepare presentation for audit conclusions.

  • Coordination and submission of all insurance data (Employee and business related) and maintain all necessary records and follow up.

  • Coordination with Insurance Company and local team members for all product liability claims. Maintain summary of all exposure tied to balance sheet.

  • Activity participate and contribute on company projects - such as contract lifecycle management, new payroll service provider, transport management system etc.

  • Other tasks as part of the finance team.

Requirements :

  • Experience: Minimum of 7 years of experience as Sr. Accountant. Preferably in a fast-paced environment with an international presence. CPA or CFA certification is a plus. SAP and/or JDE highly preferred. SSC work experience is a plus.

  • Education: Bachelor's degree or higher in Finance or Accounting or related field.

  • Key Skills: Strong leadership and communication, Strategic thinking and planning, Strong organizational skills, Working collaboratively in a global team environment.

Overview:

  • Type of employment: Full time - Exempt

  • Workplace Schedule Type: Hybrid - 3 days on-site(Mon, Wed & Thurs) and 2 days WFH (Tues & Fri). Subject to change based on business needs.

  • Position Location: Working Location: Irvine, Ca (2 days per week)  and Montebello, CA (1 day per week) Subject to change based on business needs.
