Job Summary:
DCU's Quality Control Department is seeking a detail-oriented Quality Control Inspector to join our team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with precision measurement tools and optical comparators (Keyence inspection system). The responsibility of this role is to ensure that all machined components meet strict quality standards and customer specifications.
Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Perform dimensional inspections of machined parts using calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and other precision measurement tools.
  • Utilize & program Keyence vision measurement systems (optical comparator) for advanced inspection tasks.
  • Interpret engineering drawings, GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing), and technical specifications to ensure compliance.
  • Document inspection results, maintain accurate records, and prepare quality reports.
  • Identify and report non-conformances, assist in root cause analysis, and support corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with machinists and engineers to resolve quality issues and improve processes.
  • Maintain calibration of inspection equipment and ensure adherence to quality standards.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
  • Proficiency with precision measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, etc.).
  • Familiarity with optical comparators like Keyence measurement systems.
  • Strong understanding of GD&T and ability to read complex engineering drawings.
  • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
Education and Experience:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • At least two years of related experience required.
Physical Requirements:
  • Prolonged periods of standing, lifting, and walking are required.
