Job description

Quality Control Assistant Manager 

Hyundai Glovis EV Logistics America is seeking a Quality Control Assistant Manager to support quality operations at our EV logistics and vehicle processing facility in Ellabell, GA. This role assists in leading quality assurance activities, driving process improvements, supporting customer standards compliance, and coordinating with Korean headquarters, suppliers, and internal production teams to ensure operational excellence across inbound, processing, and outbound logistics. The Assistant Manager will play a key role in supporting quality culture, launch readiness, and continuous improvement initiatives aligned with Hyundai Motor Group’s global quality standards.

Department: Consolidation Center/Operations & QC

Reports to: Operations/QC Manager

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 1st Shift (Expected from 6:00AM-3:00PM) (Rotating weekends and overtime may be required) (Schedule is subject to change based on production requirements)

Location: Onsite, Ellabell, GA 31308 (Must have the ability to commute within the neighboring facilities for meetings, events, etc.)

Responsibilities for a Quality Control Assistant Manager:

Key Responsibilities — Quality Operations Support
  • Assist in managing daily quality inspection processes regarding parts compliance
  • Monitor KPIs related to defect rates, inspection throughput, and process stability
  • Support containment, root cause analysis, and corrective actions for quality issues
  • Conduct floor audits to verify adherence to work instructions and SOPs
Key Responsibilities — Process Improvement & Problem Solving
  • Support implementation of continuous improvement initiatives
  • Assist in standardizing inspection procedures and documentation
  • Collaborate with operations and logistics teams to reduce handling-related defects
  • Identify opportunities to improve inspection efficiency, accuracy, and reporting
Key Responsibilities — Cross-Functional Coordination
  • Serve as liaison between Korean HQ, suppliers, and U.S. operations teams
  • Create, maintain professional presentations, delivering and presenting to HQ, HMGMA, etc. 
  • Translate technical and operational communications (Korean ↔ English)
  • Support supplier quality coordination and escalation management
  • Assist with launch readiness and quality planning for new programs
Key Responsibilities — Reporting & Compliance
  • Support development of daily/weekly/monthly quality reports
  • Track non-conformance data and maintain quality dashboards
  • Ensure compliance with Hyundai Motor Group global quality standards
  • Assist with internal and customer audits
Required Qualifications for a Quality Control Assistant Manager
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Quality, or related field preferred
  • 5+ years experience in quality control, manufacturing, or logistics operations
  • Professional fluency in Korean and English (written and verbal)
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in Excel and reporting tools
Preferred Qualifications for a Quality Control Assistant Manager

This role routinely uses standard office equipment, including a laptop computer and cell phone. The employee is generally required to spend long periods of time sitting, typing, and working at a computer. May require the ability to occasionally lift up to 30 pounds and transport items. The estimated base salary range for the Quality Control Assistant Manager is $86,000-$90,000. The salary range information provided is in accordance with applicable state and local laws regarding salary transparency that are currently in effect and may be implemented in the future. The range represents a good faith estimate of the range that GLOVIS EA reasonably expects to pay for this job at the time of the job posting. The actual salary paid to an individual will vary based on multiple factors, including but not limited to specific skills or certifications, years of experience, market changes, and required travel.
