Job description

Summary: Under general direction, performs a variety of mechanical, dimensional and visual inspections of incoming and manufactured parts and components.

The list that follows is not intended as a comprehensive list; it is intended to provide a representative summary of the major duties and responsibilities. Incumbent(s) may not be required to perform all duties listed, and may be required to perform additional, position-specific tasks.

  • Conduct mechanical, dimensional and visual inspections and analyses of incoming, work-in-progress, first article, finished parts and components using typical inspection hand measuring devices, coordinate measuring machines, etc.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Required Knowledge and Skills:

  • Conduct inspections and evaluations as certified and required.
  • Read and interpret manufacturing drawings, shop routers, manufacturing specifications and quality control documents.
  • Create, organize and maintain QC/QA documentation.
  • Knowledge of the Dongwon’s policies and procedures.
  • Skill in assessing and prioritizing multiple tasks and demands.
  • Skill in working within deadlines to complete projects and assignments.
  • Skill in identifying and recommending solutions to problems.
  • Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relations with co-workers and other Dongwon employees.

Education, Experience, Certifications and Licenses:

  • One (1) year experience as quality inspector. Helpful, but can be trained.

Environmental Factors and Conditions/Physical Requirements:

  • May be required to lift items weighing up to 5 to 10 pounds.
  • May be required to push or pull items weighing up 20 to 30 pounds.
  • Must be able to stand for a long period of time.
  • Must be able to do some bending and stretching when need.


2nd Shift 5:30pm - 4am Sunday - Thursday some Fridays
