Job description

The Shipping QC Assistant plays a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and quality of outbound shipments. This position is responsible for verifying that orders prepared by Order Pickers meet company standards and customer requirements, and for recording and reporting quality control data to management. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and capable of working in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
Job Responsibilities:
  • Verify the accuracy and completeness of products selected and prepared for shipment.
  • Compare packing lists, printed reports, or electronic records to physical items.
  • Identify and report any discrepancies, damages, or incorrect packaging.
  • Record and tabulate inspection results; communicate findings to managers and team members.
  • Maintain organized documentation of quality control checks for auditing purposes.
  • Operate pallet trucks and forklifts to move or inspect inventory as needed.
  • Assist in maintaining clean and safe work areas in accordance with safety procedures.
  • Perform additional tasks and responsibilities as assigned to support the shipping and QC departments.

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Must be able to work nights, weekends, holidays, and extended shifts as required.
  • Must obtain certification in pallet truck and forklift operation by the start date.
  • Ability to lift up to 62 pounds repeatedly throughout a shift.
  • Capable of standing for extended periods and performing physical tasks including bending, stooping, and twisting.
  • Able to safely operate powered industrial equipment without exposing limbs outside of the operator compartment.
  • Proficient in basic math, reading, and writing skills.
  • Able to interpret and follow written and verbal instructions accurately.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Familiarity with basic office and computer skills for reviewing and comparing reports.
