We build proprietary products and platforms, and provide UI/UX design, agile software development, R&D, and consulting services for a diverse range of private companies, as well as the U.S. Department of Defense and Intelligence Community.

Position Description
As Zoic Labs' UI/UX Designer you will be responsible for the visual development and design of applications across platforms such as web, desktop, AR, VR and app design.
This is a highly creative position driving the creation of initial concepts and designs for future user interfaces and graphics. You will also work with the engineering department and client/user to find the perfect combination between functional user experience and design.
This is a project-based position with an expected start date of June 2026 (6 month project)
Responsibilities:
  • Design and champion engaging user interfaces for a variety of clients, ensuring our users have the best possible experience on our platforms
  • Work in collaboration with leadership, product managers, engineers, and other designers
  • Strong sensibility in taking conceptual wireframes to a high fidelity, intuitive final comp
  • Develop high quality UI/UX designs, prototypes and design assets that effectively communicate design concepts
  • Conduct user research and usability testing to identify and address pain points and improve experience for users

Skills and Software:
  • Be passionate and knowledgeable about UI and UX design and able to articulate this
  • Solid understanding of visual hierarchy, layout design, and usability design
  • Adobe XD, Illustrator, and Photoshop
  • Zeplin
  • Google Slides

Nice to have, but not required:
  • After Effects
  • Figma
  • Agency experience
  • Marketing experience

Other Requirements:
  • Updated portfolio that demonstrates UI/UX skills in digital products
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and in collaboration with a team
  • Knowledge of information architecture
  • Experience using Jira
