Job description

Radiologic Technologist - Radiation Therapy

The role would provide coverage of both Lebanon Main Campus and St Johnsbury locations. The clinics are an hour apart, and the traveler would have a minimum 4 weeks' notice of which location they are scheduled.

Key Responsibilities

  • Treats patients with the various treatment modalities. Utilizes all treatment set-ups and all treatment machines, understanding the current protocols.
  • Observes and questions patients about their response to treatment. Screens, counsels or directs physical and emotional problems to radiation radiation oncologists and/or nurse. Directs patients to nurse for weekly evaluation.
  • Prepares daily schedule for assigned treatment machines; checks for accuracy of new patient data; verifies that all accessories are prepared and accounted for.
  • Presents field verification films to MD to verify set-up. Adjusts fields as the radiation oncologist directs. Documents and follows through on changes and re-film.
  • Maintains patient treatment records; prepares dose calculations, being cognizant of dose limits. Submits billing for daily patient treatments, reviews for accuracy daily.
