JOB DESCRIPTION

DEPARTMENT: Operations

REPORTS TO:General Manager

JOB DUTIES

  • Guarantee guest service is professional, helpful, thorough, and timely.
  • Concession preparation, cashiering, and maintenance duties.
  • Set up and maintain appropriate stock levels for box office and concessions.
  • Greet guests, assemble food orders, operate point-of-sale terminals, and make accurate changes.
  • Maintain cleanliness of all work areas including but not limited to concessions, box office, lobby, restrooms, hallway, auditoriums, and employee break room
  • Follow a sequence of service policy for each guest transaction.
  • Answer questions from guests and resolve any concerns.
  • Adhere to all company policy and procedures.
  • Complete all opening, mid, and closing procedures.
  • Assist wait staff with the distribution of food and the bussing of tables and auditoriums.
  • Clear and reset seats and trays before and after each film.
  • Assist with crowd control and seating of guests as needed.
  • Inform the management team of any guest issues and or maintenance requests.
  • Ensure the security of all box office cash and tickets.
  • Distribute and understand proper use of hearing-impaired equipment.
  • Enforce ratings to keep underage guests from accessing auditoriums with adult content.
  • Assist with other functions as instructed by the management team.
  • Cognizant of issues with movie projections; communicating with a manager, general manager, or projectionist when issues arise.
  • Remain up to date on movie summaries.
  • Other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE SKILLS

  • Proficient guest service, administrative and follow-up skills.
  • Comfortable communication and cooperation with guests, supervisors, peers, vendors, or partners.
  • Standing, walking, lifting, twisting, traversing stairs, and bending frequently.
  • Capability to communicate and work effectively with guests in a high-volume setting.
  • Good verbal communication skills as well as math skills.
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines under minimal supervision.
  • Proper cash handling etiquette.
  • Knowledge of basic food handling regulations.
  • Flexible working hours including holidays and weekends.
  • Knowledge of company policy and procedure.
