Social Media & SEO Specialist (Film Campaign)

Job Title: Social Media & SEO Specialist (Temporary, 3 to 6 Months)

Location: Remote (U.S. Preferred)

About the Opportunity

Octane Multimedia is seeking a creative, results-driven Social Media & SEO Specialist to lead the digital marketing campaign for an upcoming feature film release. This is an exciting opportunity to help build audience awareness, increase engagement, and drive visibility across multiple digital platforms during a film's release campaign.

This is a temporary position expected to last 3 to 6 months, with the potential for additional projects based on performance and future releases.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive social media marketing strategy for the film campaign.
  • Manage daily content across Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, X, YouTube, and other relevant platforms.
  • Create engaging posts, reels, shorts, stories, and promotional content.
  • Grow followers and increase audience engagement organically.
  • Optimize the film’s website, landing pages and all digital content using SEO and Google Ads.
  • Conduct keyword research and implement SEO strategies to improve search visibility.
  • Monitor analytics and prepare weekly performance reports.
  • Coordinate marketing efforts with the production team, distributors, publicists, and talent when applicable.
  • Assist with trailer launches, poster releases, festival announcements, reviews, and promotional events.
  • Monitor technology, industry trends and recommend new marketing opportunities.
  • Help build excitement leading up to the film's release across domestic and international audiences.

Qualifications

  • Experience managing social media campaigns for entertainment, film and television.
  • Strong understanding of Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, YouTube, X, and emerging platforms.
  • Experience with SEO strategy and keyword optimization.
  • Knowledge of Google Analytics, Google Search Console, and SEO tools.
  • Experience with Claude Ai, ChatGPT, Photoshop, Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, CapCut, or similar creative tools.
  • Excellent writing, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently while meeting deadlines.
  • Passion for film and entertainment marketing is highly preferred.

Preferred Experience

  • Previous experience promoting and marketing independent films.
  • Experience working with movie distributors, production companies, or entertainment brands.
  • Paid social advertising experience (Meta, Google, TikTok) is a plus.
  • Experience working with influencers and digital publicity campaigns.
