Job description

Location: Worthington, OH (in-office)

Bulldog Trial Lawyers is a plaintiff-side employment law firm backed by Corgi, which operates the firm's managed services organization (MSO). While our attorneys focus on delivering outstanding legal representation, Corgi handles the technology, operations, recruiting, finance, and infrastructure that keep the firm running.

Our attorneys focus on winning cases. We need a paralegal who keeps those cases moving. This is not a role where you'll spend your day filing paperwork in the background. You'll work directly with attorneys, clients, courts, and opposing counsel to make sure every case is organized, prepared, and progressing toward the best possible outcome.

If you're organized, proactive, and enjoy working in a fast-paced litigation environment, we'd love to meet you.

Responsibilities

  • Manage plaintiff-side employment litigation matters from intake through resolution.
  • Draft pleadings, discovery requests and responses, subpoenas, and correspondence.
  • Prepare exhibits, medical records, employment records, and litigation binders.
  • File documents in Ohio state and federal courts.
  • Track deadlines and maintain litigation calendars.
  • Coordinate depositions, mediations, hearings, and trial logistics.
  • Communicate with clients to gather documents and provide case updates.
  • Review and organize evidence, employment files, and damages documentation.
  • Assist attorneys with trial preparation, witness coordination, and exhibit management.
  • Maintain accurate and organized electronic case files.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of litigation paralegal experience preferred.
  • Experience with plaintiff-side employment, civil litigation, or personal injury strongly preferred.
  • Excellent writing and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple active cases simultaneously.
  • Comfortable communicating with clients during difficult situations.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Strong computer skills and ability to learn new software quickly.
  • Ohio notary certification is a plus. The successful candidate that is not a notary will be required to apply for and obtain an Ohio Notary license within 90 days at the firm’s expense.

Compensation

Compensation is flexible based on experience.
