AbelCine is a leading digital cinema and HD technology supplier to the motion picture, broadcast and new media industries. We offer sales, training, rental, repair and finance services to the professional production community with offices in NY, CHI and LA. Our new facility, in Brooklyn's Industry City, is seeking a full time Network Administrator to join our staff. As a key member of IT Services, this position is responsible for all aspects of network administration including servers, desktop systems, communications hardware/software and office systems. This is an excellent opportunity for a dynamic, hard working individual to participate in our exciting and fast paced industry.
This position would encompass the following key responsibilities:
  • Working with IT management to plan, implement, and support the network and IT infrastructure plan
  • Network administration (including backup, security management, user account management, e-mail, internet access, office systems and applications support)
  • Supports server, network and desktop hardware, software and applications
  • Performs technology needs analysis
  • Rolls out hardware and software to ensure optimal deployment of resources
  • Manages small to medium sized projects according to agreed upon budgets and schedules
  • Assists with technology planning through ongoing research

Qualifications
Requirements for the successful applicant:
  • Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field, or equivalent combination of training and work experience
  • A minimum of five years of experience with administration of the following:
    • Microsoft Windows Server/Desktop
    • Microsoft Exchange Server
    • OSX Desktop/Server
    • Active Directory in a mixed OSX/Windows Environment
