Do file clerks still exist?

Many positions now require familiarity with software like Microsoft Office or document management tools, and some roles may involve data entry or administrative support. The demand varies by industry and company size, with some organizations automating or outsourcing record management tasks.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a File Clerk, and why are they important?

To thrive as a File Clerk, you need strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a high school diploma or equivalent. Familiarity with filing systems, office management software, and sometimes document imaging systems is typically required.
