This position is located in Fairfield, OH. We currently provide a hybrid work environment, with an 80/20 split between in-office and remote work. Recovery Specialist role includes overseeing subrogation efforts on small and medium non-litigation auto losses as well as providing administrative support to the Claims Recovery area and its processes. Including but not limited to managing the group email inbox, processing incoming receipts, processing assignments to collection firms, arbitration assignments and managing incoming physical mail.

The pay range for this position is $35,000 - $50,000. The pay determination is based on the applicant's education, experience, location, knowledge, skills and abilities. Eligible associates may also receive an annual cash bonus and stock incentives based on company and individual performance.

Be ready to:

  • oversee subrogation efforts on small and medium non-litigated losses
  • oversee applicant arbitration filings and collect awards
  • process incoming recovery receipts
  • perform specific file review methods
  • work with field associates on effective loss investigation methods
  • manage routing of incoming email to ensure it reaches the appropriate associates
  • manage assignment and processing of incoming receipts not processed automatically
  • process collection firm assignments and file copy accesses
  • manage eSubro hub demands and arbitration assignments ensuring notice to appropriate associates
  • review incoming physical mail ensuring it reaches it appropriate destination
  • miscellaneous administrative support as arises or needed
  • may assist with auto salvage. 

Be Equipped with:

  • good verbal and written communication skills

  • ability to concentrate and pay attention to detail
  • strong decision-making skills
  • ability to effectively work independently
  • average to above average knowledge of Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams and Adobe
  • accounting basics knowledge desired
  • ability to learn claims basics and workflows

Knowledge of the Claims Management System is valued

Qualities:

Experience:

Some prior claims handling experience is valued.

You've earned:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Willingness to complete the Claims Basic School
  • Willingness to successfully complete three parts of the Associate in Claims program within a three-year time period
