Heyl Royster is a large, fast-paced law firm seeking motivated, organized, and reliable individual for a full-time Docket Clerk/File Clerk opening in our Edwardsville office. A DAY IN THE LIFE AS A DOCKET CLERKThis position will assist with docket responsibilities. In this capacity you will spend your time independently processing electronic documents, including incoming mail, court filings, emails and reports obtained from court websites. You will input deadlines, important dates and events into our computer system. You will be responsible for insuring that all events are assigned proper and accurate attorney coverage. You will prepare and distribute daily docket reports. You will distribute documents and make them easily accessible to colleagues. This position will also include some File Clerk responsibilities. You will independently conduct file management and maintenance. You will organize paperwork according to an efficient filing system and digitalize all necessary documents. You will possess excellent computers skills and be detail-oriented, protecting and updating files and making them easily accessible to colleagues.You will also provide excellent customer service to the attorneys, paralegals, and staff.QUALIFICATIONS TO BE A DOCKET CLERKMust have excellent computer skills working with Microsoft Office and office equipment such as a photocopier, scanner, etc.Excellent communication and interpersonal skillsExceptional attention to detailOutstanding organizational skillsHigh school diploma or equivalent requiredDespite a fast pace and short timeframes, you excel and are efficient and thorough with multiple-large-volume tasks.
