Commercial Post Closing Review File Specialist I

The Commercial Post Closing Review File Specialist I is part of the Post Closing Team in the Commercial Banking Service Support Department. This position is responsible for performing a thorough and comprehensive review of loan, credit, and collateral documents to determine if documents are in compliance with regulatory requirements and company policy.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Performs quality assurance of all loan files to ensure documentation is approved and in compliance with regulations and company policy.
  • Reviews all file documentation for loan files, including but not limited to collateral documentation, title commitments and policies, UCC's, letter of credit, insurance policies, and liens (collateral perfection)
  • Recognizes missing/ incorrect documentation in loan files and seeks solutions to problems.
  • Identifies and accurately enters any exceptions items for covenant tracking
  • Reviews requests and supporting documentation to accurately remove any exceptions items for covenant tracking
  • Remains up-to-date on all documentation, regulatory, and lien perfection requirements in order to ensure loan quality.
  • Responsible for on-going knowledge of bank regulations related to compliance and auditors for commercial loans
  • Assists in special projects as needed
Education & Experience

Knowledge of:

  • Various lending regulations
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Excellent customer service skills

Ability to:

  • Multi-task and work independently
  • Manage multiple deadlines
  • Analyze and solve problems for which there are not precedents
  • Perform duties and make decisions under frequent time pressures

Education and Training:

  • Requires High School diploma; continuing education preferred.
  • Minimum 1-2 years experience in commercial collateral/liens or documentation preferred such as a background of title company employment, legal work, bank employment, or experience with loan documentation software such as LaserPro
  • Requires knowledge of Microsoft Office – Word, Excel, and Adobe. Other bank proprietary systems helpful.
