Figma Developer information

What jobs in the US pay 300,000 a year?

Figma developers typically do not reach a $300,000 annual salary, as this level is more common in executive roles, specialized software engineers, or senior product managers. High-paying tech roles such as software architects, engineering managers, or senior UX/UI designers with extensive experience and skills in design tools like Figma can approach or exceed this salary range. Achieving such compensation often requires advanced expertise, leadership responsibilities, and working in high-demand industries or companies.

What is a Figma Developer?

A Figma Developer is a professional who specializes in using Figma, a collaborative interface design tool, to create, prototype, and refine user interfaces for web and mobile applications. They often bridge the gap between design and development by turning Figma designs into interactive prototypes or production-ready code. Figma Developers work closely with designers and front-end engineers to ensure design consistency and usability across digital products. Their expertise includes working with Figma's features, plugins, and sometimes integrating Figma assets with development workflows.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a Figma Developer, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Figma Developer, you need a strong grasp of UI/UX design principles, proficiency in Figma, and a solid understanding of front-end development languages like HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. Familiarity with design systems, prototyping tools, and version control platforms such as Git is typically required. Collaboration, attention to detail, and effective communication are crucial soft skills for translating design concepts into functional, user-friendly interfaces. These skills ensure high-quality, consistent digital products and smooth collaboration between design and development teams.

How much does a software engineer at Figma make?

Software engineers at Figma typically earn a salary ranging from $100,000 to $160,000 annually, depending on experience, location, and role level. Compensation may also include stock options and benefits, especially for senior positions or specialized skills in UI/UX design and front-end development.

How does a Figma Developer typically collaborate with designers and other team members during a project?

A Figma Developer works closely with designers by translating design prototypes into interactive, production-ready components while ensuring the final product matches the intended user experience. They often participate in design handoff meetings, provide technical feedback, and use Figma's collaborative features to communicate changes and resolve questions in real time. Additionally, they may work alongside front-end developers, product managers, and QA specialists to ensure seamless integration of designs into the development workflow. This role requires strong communication skills and a proactive approach to addressing design and technical challenges.

What does Figma developer do?

A Figma developer designs and creates user interfaces and prototypes using Figma, a collaborative design tool. They translate design concepts into functional digital products, often working closely with developers and designers to ensure visual consistency and usability. Proficiency in Figma, front-end skills, and understanding of user experience are typically required for this role.

Is Figma in high demand?

Figma developers are in high demand as many companies adopt Figma for collaborative UI/UX design and prototyping. Skills in Figma, along with knowledge of design principles and user experience, can lead to numerous job opportunities across tech, design agencies, and product teams.

What is the difference between Figma Developer vs UI Designer?

AspectFigma DeveloperUI Designer
Primary FocusImplementing designs in Figma, creating prototypes, collaborating on design systemsDesigning user interfaces, creating visual layouts, selecting color schemes and typography
Skills & CertificationsProficiency in Figma, basic understanding of front-end code, collaboration skillsDesign tools (Adobe XD, Sketch), visual design skills, user experience knowledge
Work EnvironmentDesign teams, product teams, often in tech or digital agenciesCreative studios, in-house design teams, digital agencies

While both roles work closely on digital product design, a Figma Developer specializes in translating designs into interactive prototypes and collaborating on design systems within Figma, often with some coding knowledge. A UI Designer focuses on creating the visual aspects of interfaces, emphasizing aesthetics and user experience. Understanding these differences helps employers and job seekers align expectations and skills.

Job description

About Zaden Technologies, Inc.

Join Zaden Technologies on our mission to simplify the delivery and improve the utility of software products for our customers. At Zaden, we believe that our employees are our greatest assets. We hire the right candidates with the right skill sets who fit our culture of customer obsession, innovation, and continuous learning. We are our customerโ€™s biggest advocate and we are looking for like-minded individuals who encompass these same ideals. It is important to us to offer you competitive pay and comprehensive benefits with opportunities that match your life and propel your career!

Zaden Technologies is looking for a Technical Product Manager to own the critical bridge between engineering execution and customer-ready software. At Zaden, product direction and delivery discipline are the same job โ€” you'll define and protect MVP scope, drive the roadmap, and own the cadence that ships it. Reporting directly to the CEO, this is an individual contributor role with a clear, direct growth path to Head of Product. We're hiring for the function and the skill, not the title โ€” if you've been doing this work under a different name (Senior PM, Product Lead, Technical Program Manager), we want to hear from you.

Note: This position is either hybrid in Huntsville, Alabama or Remote w/ 10-20% travel.

Role Responsibilities:
  • Define and hold the MVP cut line for each product โ€” no scope creep, no pre-launch feature drift
  • Own and maintain the product roadmap across the full product portfolio in partnership with engineering
  • Maintain an always-on demo environment; "demo-able in staging" is your definition of done
  • Translate requirements from federal and enterprise customers into prioritized, precise engineering tickets
  • Run structured user research and drive product decisions from evidence, not opinion
  • Hold the honest line between selling the future and demoing the now
  • Coordinate go-to-market timing for each shippable slice with sales and leadership
  • Communicate fluidly in two directions โ€” brief program managers in their language, write precise tickets for developers
Required Qualifications:
  • U.S. Citizenship and ability to obtain a security clearance
  • 5+ years of product management or equivalent product delivery experience
  • Demonstrated track record of taking a product from zero to one inside a complex organization with real stakeholders, competing priorities, and constraints
  • Proven experience shipping software to paying customers โ€” you know the difference between "capability exists" and "product is ready to sell"
  • Technical fluency: able to hold scope conversations with engineers, read a pull request, and recognize when "almost done" is actually weeks away
  • Proficiency with roadmap and delivery tools such as Jira, Linear, GitLab, etc
  • Hands-on experience with AI assistants and agentic coding tools (e.g., Claude, Cursor, or Copilot) in daily work
  • Experience in high-stakes, multi-stakeholder, regulated environments (defense, aerospace, government-adjacent, healthcare, finance, or similar)
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical or quantitative field (computer science, software or systems engineering, information systems, electrical or mechanical engineering) or equivalent hands-on product experience
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Active security clearance
  • Familiarity with DoD, federal research labs, or federal procurement, or enterprise software sold into government
  • Experience delivering against government contract schedules or SBIR milestones
  • Background in aerospace, defense tech, or engineering automation software
  • Exposure to MBSE, systems engineering, or model-based workflows
  • Familiarity with MBSE/SysML tooling such as Cameo/MagicDraw or SysML v2
  • Proficiency with product analytics tools such as Amplitude or Mixpanel, plus enough SQL to pull your own answers
  • Experience with design and collaboration tools: Figma, Miro, Confluence, or Notion
  • Cloud platform experience with AWS or Azure (GovCloud a plus)
  • Master's degree in a technical field or MBA with a technology focus
  • Product or agile certification (CSPO, Pragmatic Institute, or SAFe) or cloud certification (AWS or Azure)

Expected Compensation: $150,000k-$170,000k/yr
