As a bilingual Hebrew-English school, we proudly serve over 280 students from Pre-K3 through 5th grade in the heart of DC.

The Role

As the 3rd Grade Math Lead Teacher, you will serve as a homeroom co-teacher within our 50/50 immersion model. You will be the primary instructor for Mathematics for the 3rd-grade cohort. • Collaboration: Partner closely with the 3rd-grade ELA teacher and Hebrew co-teacher to ensure curricular coherence and a unified student experience.

  • Commitment to Equity: Uphold the firm belief that all students can achieve at high levels, fostering an inclusive environment that values diversity.

  • Use formative and summative assessments to monitor student progress and adjust instruction accordingly.

  • Establish clear and measurable learning objectives for students and regularly evaluate progress toward those goals.

  • Participate in collaborative planning with the STEM/Math content-area team.

Classroom Environment and Student Engagement
  • Create and maintain a safe, respectful, and inclusive classroom environment.

  • Implement classroom management practices that promote positive student behavior and engagement.

  • Foster student voice, critical thinking, and independent problem-solving.

  • Ensure equitable access to manipulatives, instructional resources, and academic supports.

Student Support and Collaboration

  • Participate in student support processes, including Student Support Team (SST) meetings and Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS).

  • Experience: At least two years of elementary teaching experience with a proven track record of student growth.

  • Skills: Exceptional oral and written communication; ability to motivate a diverse group of learners.

  • Eligibility: Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
