Warehouse Manager — Food & Beverage Distribution


Position Summary

Oversee receiving, storage, inventory control, order fulfillment, and shipping for perishable and non-perishable products, while managing warehouse staff and ensuring food safety compliance.


Key Responsibilities

  • Manage daily warehouse operations: receiving, put-away, picking, packing, and shipping
  • Oversee inventory control, including cycle counts, FIFO/FEFO rotation, and lot tracking
  • Ensure compliance with food safety standards (HACCP, FSMA, GMP) and cold chain protocols
  • Hire, train, schedule, and supervise warehouse staff
  • Track KPIs (order accuracy, on-time shipping, labor productivity) and drive continuous improvement
  • Coordinate with purchasing, sales, and logistics on inventory and demand planning
  • Manage warehouse budget, vendor relationships, and WMS usage


Required Qualifications

  • 3+ years of warehouse or operations management experience
  • Experience managing teams of 10+
  • Strong knowledge of inventory management and WMS systems
  • Forklift and warehouse safety experience
  • Ability to lift 50lbs and work in refrigerated/frozen environments


Preferred Qualifications

  • Startup or high-growth experience — comfortable building processes from scratch
  • Food and beverage distribution experience, including cold chain and food safety compliance
  • Food safety certification (ServSafe, HACCP) and/or WMS implementation experience
