Job Summary:
Executes the daily production work as per Production Manager's schedule, following company's GMP's policies and procedures. Ensures all processes meet customer's specification requirements and minimizes risk to the company. Assists Production Manager in manufacturing products that meet established quality, customer service, safety, sanitation, innovation, and cost metrics consistent with schedules and policies at the back of the house. Executes work standards and maintains improvement through sustaining behaviors, operating with discipline and rigor. Using daily production scheduling as base, prepares and batches all raw materials, dried goods, proteins and miscellaneous WIPS for the cooking or mixing of all finished goods.
Assists in the optimization of new product development through the standardization of materials and process to insure repeatability. Consistently apply all Company Policies and Procedures.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Assists Production Manager in executing daily production scheduling of entire facility.
  • Executes the lock-out / tag out program in his/her area of responsibility.
  • Chops, dice, slice, mince, weights, mix, batch all product formulation according to recipe.
  • Executes HACCP under direction of the Quality Assurance team.
  • Follows formula's procedural steps rigidly, never deviating from recipe.
  • Practices safety procedures as per training in the handling of all process equipment.
  • Works in conjunction with Sanitation team to operate equipment in proper sanitary conditions, as per Company's SSOP's.
  • Reports immediately any unsafe equipment or malfunction. Works in conjunction with the Maintenance department to maintain a preventive maintenance program in each piece of equipment in the kitchen.
  • Responsible for his/her safety and well-being of plant associates.
  • Executes the quality assurance program as per company standards.
  • Responsible for keeping the work area or assembly line in optimum sanitation condition and ensures that all SOP's, HACCP & SSOP's are executed as planned.
  • Follows company standards in the execution of the allergen program and immediately reports any deviation.
  • Fills all paperwork with accuracy related to temperature checks, traceability, and sequential process.
  • Conducts all formula batching with precision and double checks all weights and measures. Records in recipe every procedural step.
  • Ensures that all scales and thermometers are properly calibrated and sanitized before use.
  • Rigorously executes the GMP's standard operating procedure.
  • Prevents and reports immediately any potential cross-contamination situation.

General Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Follows company policies and procedures clocking in & out for the shift and breaks.
  • Uses adequate protective gear in the handling of knives or sharp blades, as per company's policies and procedures.
  • Assist Plant Management on all product changeovers.
  • Maintains positive relationships among all levels of associates.
  • Executes FiFo policy.

  • Must be able to lift 30 Lbs. frequently and 40 Lbs. occasionally; stand, reach, climb, and lift frequently.
  • Must be able work with others and coordinate production with co-workers.
  • Must work with minimum or no supervision.
  • Must have an excellent attendance record, reliable and flexible when seasonal work is occasionally required.
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.

Education and/or Experience:
  • 1+ years' demonstrated manufacturing & processing supervisory experience in roles of increasing responsibility demonstrating the ability to achieve results.
  • High School diploma desirable but not a must

Language Skills:
  • To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to read, write and speak English satisfactorily to perform the essential functions.
  • Bi-lingual English Spanish highly desirable.

Mathematical Skills:
  • Ability to calculate basic figures and amounts for formulation and assembly.

Reasoning Ability:
  • Ability to define problems, collect data. Establish facts and draw valid conclusions.

Computer Skills:
  • Basic ability to understand batching process.

Work Environment:
