Pay Range: $17 to $20 per hour

Work Schedule: Monday to Friday (7am to 3:30pm)

POSITION SUMMARY: 

The Day Warehouse Specialist I performs a combination of Warehouse Downstacking and/or Will Call fulfillment responsibilities to support efficient warehouse operations and customer service. Responsibilities include downstacking and palletizing products for proper warehouse placement, staging pallets in various locations, and/or ensuring the accurate and timely preparation of customer delivery and Will Call orders.

This role also supports general Day Warehouse operations as needed to maintain workflow efficiency, operational readiness, and a high standard of service for Y. Hata’s customers.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

(Will Call / Warehouse Downstacker Hybrid Role)

 

Inbound Operations

  • Downstacks product and palletizes items for proper warehouse placement and stages   pallets in various locations according to established procedures.
  • Sorts, organizes, and prepares products for storage or staging while maintaining product integrity and minimizing damage.
  • Verifies product counts, packaging condition, and identification to support inventory accuracy.
  • Follows proper product handling and rotation practices, including FIFO standards.
  • Maintains clean, safe, and organized receiving and staging areas.

Will Call Order Fulfillment

  • Pulls, stages, and prepares Will Call orders accurately and within required timelines.
  • Reviews order documentation to verify product accuracy and quantities prior to customer pickup.
  • Coordinates with Sales Support Coordinators and warehouse team members to ensure orders are processed and staged efficiently.
  • Maintains organized Will Call staging areas to support timely and accurate customer pickups.

Warehouse Operations Support

  • Handles products in dry, refrigerated, and freezer environments in accordance with safety and operational procedures.
  • Operates pallet jacks and other warehouse equipment to move and stage product safely and efficiently.
  • Assists with general Day Warehouse operations to support workflow and operational efficiency.
  • Performs similar and related duties as assigned by supervisor.
  • Uses the Company’s Mission/Vision Statements and Core Values as guiding principles.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education / Experience:

  • High school diploma or GED or equivalent/related experience.
  • At least 1 year of related experience in Warehouse Operations or an equivalent role.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Lifting up to 100 lbs.
  • Frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, climbing, and manual handling.
  • Use of pallet jacks, powered tools, and warehouse equipment.
  • High mobility and repetitive motion required. Exposure to loud noise, temperature fluctuations, and fast-paced environments.
  • Requires visual, auditory, and manual dexterity.

WORKING ENVIRONMENT: 

  • Work is performed primarily in warehouse environments with varying levels of temperature, ventilation, lighting, and noise. The position may require working in dry, refrigerated, and freezer areas, with temperatures ranging from approximately -15°F to 88°F.
