R and R Breakfast Spot is looking for a dependable, organized, and hardworking Food Prep Cook to join our fast-paced team. If you enjoy working behind the scenes to keep a busy kitchen running smoothly and take pride in staying organized, we'd love to meet you.
This is a high-demand role that requires someone who can work with urgency, maintain quality, and stay organized while preparing ingredients and managing inventory for a busy soul food breakfast restaurant.
Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare ingredients for daily breakfast service, including chopping vegetables, portioning meats, mixing batters, and preparing sauces and side items
  • Follow recipes and food preparation standards to ensure consistency and quality
  • Maintain accurate inventory of food products, supplies, and prep items
  • Monitor stock levels and notify management when products need to be reordered
  • Rotate inventory using FIFO (First In, First Out) methods to minimize waste
  • Label, date, and properly store all prepared food items
  • Keep prep stations, storage areas, coolers, and freezers clean and organized
  • Assist cooks during busy service periods as needed
  • Follow all food safety, sanitation, and health department regulations
  • Work efficiently to ensure the kitchen is fully stocked and prepared for each shift
Qualifications
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen
  • Excellent attention to detail and cleanliness
  • Dependable with a strong work ethic and positive attitude
