Job description

Student Worker - Media Services Student Assistant

Number of Openings: 4

Media Services Student Assistants help with the daily operations of the Media Services department.

Duties include:

  • Assisting with the setup and operation of sound and projection equipment
  • Assignments that include video projects as well as technical assistance at campus events
  • Additional special assignments as needed

Qualifications/Skills:

  • Dependability
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • General knowledge of basic presentation equipment and applications, cameras, and video editing
  • Flexibility to adapt to varying responsibilities based on daily needs
  • Ability to work some evening and weekend hours as well as regular business hours

Media Services Student Assistants develop foundational skills that can be used in any future career. These skills include among others communication, professionalism, creativity, critical thinking and problem-solving. In addition, there is the opportunity to learn technical skills in the growing field of multimedia technology.
