Field Service Technician

  • Based within 200 miles of Chicago, IL

We're recruiting for an experienced Field Service Technician to join a leading machine manufacturer supporting customers across North America.

This is a travel-based role installing, commissioning and servicing automated processing and packaging equipment while providing hands-on technical support and outstanding customer service.

What You'll Do

  • Install, commission and start up processing and packaging equipment
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical and pneumatic faults
  • Perform preventative maintenance and emergency breakdown repairs
  • Troubleshoot automated machinery at customer facilities
  • Train operators on equipment operation and safety procedures
  • Complete service reports and documentation using Salesforce
  • Recommend equipment upgrades, spare parts and future service requirements
  • Represent the company professionally while supporting customers across North America

What We're Looking For

  • Associate Degree or Technical Diploma in Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronics or a related field
  • 3+ years' field service or industrial maintenance experience
  • Strong mechanical, electrical and pneumatic troubleshooting skills
  • Experience working on automated manufacturing, processing or packaging equipment
  • Willingness to travel extensively throughout the United States with occasional international travel

Commutable from: Chicago, Naperville, Aurora, Rockford, Waukegan, Arlington Heights, Rochelle and DeKalb.
